R3 an Android Stick that debuts the new Allwinner IK316 SoC

Today we find on AliExpress a small novelty in the world of SoCs for Android, the new Allwinner IK316, a low-end processor.

We don’t know all the specifications of the Allwinner IK316, but from what we can see it has quite limited features, although it seems that it can be used as a media player up to 4K resolutions at 60 fps. We find this new processor integrated into a small Stick called R3 that includes Android 10 as the operating system and that, as corresponds to this format, we have few connectivity options.

The Stick R3 has an Allwinner IK316 SoC at its heart, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 GPU whose clock speeds are unknown.

This stick has options with 1/2 GB LPDDR4 of RAM, although we only recommend the 2 GB version. For storage, we have options with 8/16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can always expand thanks to a micro SD card reader that we find on the side of the Stick.

For wireless connectivity, we find Dual Band Wi-Fi on a SV6256P chip, although it does not have Bluetooth. The included connectors are very few, since we only find a USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0 video output, a 3.5 mm jack to connect an extension cord for the IR sensor and a micro USB connector for power.
