It seems that the light is already visible at the end of the tunnel for the users of the Amazon Prime Video App in its Android TV version since with its latest version 4.5.17 we can watch streaming in 4K UHD quality. This aspect we have been able to test positively in a device like the Xiaomi Mi Box S in its international version that has played streaming to this quality, on the other hand it does not work in TV-Box with Android TV like the M8S Pro L and W that we just reviewed. Of course the NVidia Shield TV support Amazon Prime Video in UHD too with his own specific version of the app for this service.

In the Xiaomi Mi Box we have also seen a significant improvement in the quality and overall stability when playing video, with fewer jumps and frames lost in the travellings among others aspects with respect to previous versions of the APP. It seems that at last Amazon is working seriously on their Android TV app and we start to see positive results now only need this app to be officially in the store of this system.

- Simply once the APK is downloaded from our PC, we copy the file to a USB pendrive and run it from our Android TV with a file browser like the ES explorer that we can find in the Android TV Google Play Store.
