From the CES we get all the information of the new range of AMD processors for all product sectors of the market and it is that it seems that the launch of Zen has given impetus to AMD and we have an infinity of novelties on the part of this brand. In the desktop sector we now have new AMD Ryzen desktop APUs, two APU AMD Ryzen Mobiles, new AMD Ryzen Pro APUs and new ZEN+ CPU cores with 12nm architecture.
The new products presented that we will see shortly in the market are the two desktop APUs AMD Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G that integrate Vega GPU with 11 and 8 Computer Units respectively. Some very interesting processors that will enter into direct competition with the new range of Intel Kaby Lake-G + GPU AMD Vega Radeon processors also presented at this CES, it will be interesting to see what figures each one gets and what price the market has.
This 2018 we also have new APU Ryzen Mobile PRO, new products for the professional sector where we have more additional security measures, something quite critical nowadays as we are seeing with the design problems detected Meltdown and Specter.
The two new desktop APUs AMD Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G with integrated Vega GPUs seem to be a very interesting solution for those looking for a compact PC with no graphics card and enough graphics power to move modern games at 1080p at 60fps. One of these APU has 4 cores and 8 threads, a direct competitor for the new Intel solutions above all for price and energy consumption, also at the video level we have great 4K playback capabilities and support for Freesync in a large number of compatible monitors. No doubt it will be interesting to see this range of products compete with the new processors that integrate CPU Intel + GPU AMD Vega that we have also seen in the CES 2018.
By April 2018 we will have among us the new processors with ZEN+ cores manufactured at 12nm with improvements in clock speeds and with the inclusion of Precision Boost 2. The deeper change of this architecture will occur with the presentation of ZEN 2 that will bring changes in multiple aspects with respect to its first version and will be manufactured in 7nm, at the same time the Vega GPU will evolve in reduction of its architecture, a technological change that close the gab betthen AMD and Intel.
