Android 10 for RK3318 SoC debuts on HK1 RBOX

4

We already have Android 10 ready for the well-known low-price Rockchip RK3318 SoC that opens in the TV-Box HK1 RBOX. A smart box that comes to us with the usual configuration in these Chinese products and where we can choose between different versions of RAM and storage. The only notable fact about this Box, in addition to its psychotropic decoration, is the inclusion of Android 10 as OS that we hope will gradually reach at least the most popular TV-Boxes based on the RK3318 SoC. We hope to have a Box with this SoC and Android 10 soon for review to see what news it implements when it comes to smartizing our TV.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart Box HK1 RBOX integrates the new Rockchip RK3318 SoC, which has four ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to resolutions 4K @ 60fps HDR. It has versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64/128 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the microSD card reader on one of the sides of its box.

Other features

At the wireless connection level, this TV-Box includes WiFi aC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. On the perimeter of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, SPDIF digital audio output, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows the output of up to 4K @ video resolutions. 60fps. A basic infrared remote control is included with cloning functions of other controllers and an HDMI cable among other accessories as usual.

Price and availability in stores

  • The HK1 RBOX TV-Box can be purchased at Banggood.com from $ 31.09 in its cheapest version with 2/16GB.
