Second Chinese Smart Box that we see in a few days with the Amlogic S905W low cost SoC and Android 9.0, a version of this popular operating system that has just arrived for this SoC. The Bilikay BL1 is a typical cheap mini box, with only a size of 8.2 x 8.2 x 1.7cm and a Chinese brand from which we can not expect much. It only stands out for having Android 9.0 as an OS since its hardware is the simplest that we can find currently on the market, yet it can work correctly to play multimedia files locally.
Basic review
The Bilikay A968 Smart Box can be used as a basic media player with KODI in FHD resolution and can also run simple games without too many graphic requirements, you can see a Box similar to this in our review. Remember that this type of cheap Box does not have a guaranteed update support and does not have DRM certificates so we can only see Netflix in the basic quality. SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV Box with Android Bilikay BL1 integrates the Amlogic S905W SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a MALI-450MP5 GPU. It has 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of eMMc storage memory and a microSD card reader located on the side of the black plastic case that allows us to increase its internal storage.
Other features
At the wireless connectivity level we only have WiFi b/g/n with internal antenna since it does not have Bluetooth. As for connectors, this mini Smart Box is quite basic as it includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, IR sensor extender for the remote control, 10/100 network connector and finally an analog port for audio and video.
It also includes a very basic infrared remote control, cables and power supply in the box.
