STAR the new Disney+ channel now available, installation guide

The new Star channel with adult content is now available on the Disney+ streaming platform, a channel integrated free of charge in the current app that we must update manually on many devices.

The new Star channel will find mostly FOX content and new adult productions, a few months ago Disney signed the purchase of Fox for about 71000 billion dollars, and they have to start getting a return on investment. Thanks to this purchase Disney now has a huge catalog of adult content, numerous historical franchises to exploit and a very powerful production mechanism for adult audiences.

The new Star channel is integrated into the current Disney+ and to control access for minors we will have to compulsorily activate parental controls to block access to adult content. Star will be directly the sixth dedicated channel within the catalog that Disney+ has in its app, now we will have to select between Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and the new Star.

Disney+ Star on Android

  • If we have an Android TV-Box with official support for the app, it will be updated automatically.
  • If we have an unofficial Android TV-Box you need to download and install Disney+ in its latest version (required).
  • Activate pin for parental control in adult profiles.
  • More information and help with possible audio problems in our Disney+ Guide.

For now, we can sign up for $6.99 per month or $69.99 for a year to the Disney+ service, but after February 23 we will have an increase in the subscription price to $8.99 per month or $89.99 per year.

For existing subscribers (including all those who subscribe before February 23) it will keep the price for six months, and the price change will take effect on the monthly or annual renewal date after August 22, 2021.

Disney+ can be shared with up to 4 users simultaneously and with the inclusion of the Star channel adds new parental controls required to block this channel. You have more information about Disney+ in our special article about this service.
