It has just been officially presented a new drone with full detail of the DJI brand called DJI Mavic Air. This new personal dron from the prestigious DJI brand will be positioned between DJI Mavic Pro and DJI Spark and includes better specs in its camera with a sensor capable of capturing 4K@60fps video and spherical cameras to capture 360º images. In terms of design we continue with the ultracompact scheme of this brand since can be folded.
DJI Mavic Air integrates in its chassis a 4K camera with CMOS sensor 1/2.3″ and an aperture lens f/2.8 capable of recording at 60fps at maximum resolution, it also includes a 3-axis stabilizer and has a new panoramic photography mode of 32 MP resolution as we have already commented. It also includes 8 GB of storage memory although we have a microSD card reader and a USB Type-C port. The remote control allows to attach a Smartphone and following the philosophy of the brand is also foldable to occupy the minimum space although we can also use the control with gestures. It has a maximum autonomy of 21 minutes, being able to travel a distance of 6.2 miles and is able to reach a maximum speed of 42 mph thanks to its FlightAutonomy 2.0 software capable of mapping the terrain. It also includes obstacle location sensors and different flight modes with automatic tracking, automatic spiral tracing and a long etcetera.
