It has just been presented the new box for streaming and IPTV Formuler Z10 NEO, the replacement of the Formuler Z Neo launched a few years ago.
This is a Box with low-end hardware where only minimally highlights its Realtek RTD1319 processor. This is a Quad Core SoC that includes support for HDR10, HLG, AV1, VP9 and Widevine L1 DRM certificates, we assume it will have a good video image quality. The operating system is Android 10 and includes specific support for IPTV called MYTVOnline2.
Of its hardware highlight its simple wireless connectivity, especially for a Box dedicated to IPTV, since it has no bluetooth and only has Wifi b/g/n. The remote control is also only by infrared, GTV IR1, something surprising considering the price of this Box in which we also only find 4 GB of internal memory. A device that despite having some certificates will NOT be compatible with Netflix 4K official, so if we want something for paid streaming better think about other options.
Specifications of the Formuler Z10 Neo
The Box Formuler Z10 Neo includes a Realtek RTD1319 SoC as engine. This chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A55 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, a processor that will allow us to move most apps without many problems, although limited for 3D games.
On its small board we have soldered 4 GB of RAM DDR4 and only 4 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can only expand in any case from the single USB port.
Other notable features
Regarding wireless connectivity, we find Wifi b/g/n and NO Bluetooth. The included connectors are only one USB 3.0 port, one infrared extension connector, one HDMI 2.1 video output and one RJ45 10/100 network connector.
Interestingly, according to Formuler, it is USB compatible with some external DVB-T tuners, such as the Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD and the Geniatech MyGica T230.
