The new GPD WIN Mini gaming UMPC is now available, a beast with 4nm AMD Ryzen Gen7 APUs and high-performance RDNA3 GPU.
This is an even more compact version of the classic GPD Win Max 2 that goes from 10 to 7 inches, but keeps many of its features. We have the same low power AMD Gen7 APUs that integrate Zen4 cores manufactured in 4 nm and have a powerful RDNA3 GPU, in our review you can see its performance. We have versions with AMD Ryzen 5 7640U and Ryzen 7 7840U, both with a configurable TDP up to 35W. As usual it offers good Gaming options and also comes with a Gamepad style grip.
An alternative for those who want a lightweight micro notebook that gives us maximum power anywhere, even for playing demanding titles.
GPD WIN Mini Specifications
This new version of UMPC called GPD WIN Mini offers AMD Ryzen 5 7640U Hexa Core and Ryzen 7 7840U Octa Core processors, interesting AMD Gen7 APUs with Zen 4 cores with an efficiency marked by the 4 nm used in its manufacture. Both processors include an AMD Radeon 760/780M GPU which, thanks to the RDNA3 architecture, offers improved performance compared to RDNA2.
We will also have 16/32/64 GB of LPDDR5X 6400 MT/s RAM, a 512GB or 1/2 TB M.2 NVMe 1.4 SSD and a high-speed micro SDXC card reader. Inside this mini PC we have a fan to keep temperatures under control at all times.
Display and other features
This mini UMPC notebook features a 7-inch LTPS touchscreen display, with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and support for up to 120 Hz. In terms of ports we have a Gigabit Network connector, a USB 4 (with eGPU support), another USB-C 3.2 Gen2, audio jack, microSD UHS-II slot and HDMI 2.1 video output. It also offers an OCulink port to connect an External GPU such as the GPD G1 that mounts an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT.
The GPD WIN Mini has a 44.24Wh battery with autonomy between 7 and 3 hours depending on usage and as a fast charging system we have a 100W adapter. To connect to networks we have Wifi 6 with a speed of up to 2402 Mbps and Bluetooth 5.2.
We also have physical controls such as backlit keyboard, central trackpad, two analog knobs at each end, two crosshairs, four front action buttons, two rear buttons, two triggers, two buttons on the back on each side and programmable keys L4/R4.
The case of this computer is made of magnesium and weighs 520 grams with measurements of 168 x 109 x 26 mm and the installed system is Windows 11 Pro.
