Today we locate on Aliexpress.com a new Box with Android moved by the Rockchip RK3328 Quad Core SoC called HK1 Max. A model that repeats the circular box with front panel LED that we saw in another device a few days ago and that as usual with this SoC of Rockchip already includes 4GB of RAM and Android 9.0, something that will give a little life to long term.
Basic review
As a simple review the HK1 Max we can compare it with a similar model that we have analyzed. This is an Android TV-Box that allows us to use it as a basic media player with KODI or IPTV, we can also run basic games without too much demand of resources. We must remember that these cheap Boxes do not have brand support and do not have DRM certificates with which we can only see Netflix SD in basic quality. If you are interested to watch streaming services in HD quality and 4K you can see our list of TV-Box with DRM certificates compatible with these services.
SoC, RAM and storage
In the TV Box HK1 MAX we find the RK3328 SoC, a Quad Core ARM Cortex-A53 processor and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to resolutions 4K@60fps with HLG HDR. It also includes 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 / 64GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
Connectivity and other features
As for wireless connections, this device has Dual Band WiFi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. On the perimeter of the plastic box a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV output and an HDMI 2.0a port for video.
Price and availability
- The TV-Box HK1 Max can be purchased on Aliexpress.com from $56.25 (€50.70) including shipping.
