New PCB of the active Khadas brand that is aimed at those who want to mount a low consumption HTPC with excellent multimedia features. The new Khadas VIM3L is a board whose heart is the Amlogic S905D3-N0N SoC a Chip with good multimedia capabilities and also have Android 9.0, Linux and is also supposed to be compatible with LibreELEC. As a bonus also comment that it may be compatible in the future with the board of the same brand that adds DTT and Satellite tuners, the ideal complement to mount a good HTPC although curiously the version of the Amlogic SoC used does not seem to have Dolby and DTS licenses.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Khadas VIM3L PCB includes an Amlogic S905D3-N0N SoC (without Dolby or DTS licenses) with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors and a Mali-G31mp2 GPU capable of processing Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10 +, HLG and PRIME HDR video. It will also include 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 16GB of Samsung eMMc 5.1 storage memory, microSD card reader and an M.2 2280 NVMe port.
Other specifications
As for connectivity we have WiFi aC 2X2, Bluetooth 5.0 (AP6398S chip) and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The connectors included are 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C for power, an HDMI 2.1, a MIPI CSI for camera, port for touch panels, a MIPI DSI interface and a 40-pin connector. We also have fan connector and double IR sensor.
