MSI presents its new mini PC Cube N ADL. Small computers for desktop and industrial use that will soon be on sale.
These new mini PCs are the little brothers of the CUBI 5 12M with Intel Core processors. In this case, we find two 12th generation Intel Alder Lake-N processors with only 6 W TPD. As we will see, these mini PCs are equipped with DDR4 RAM memory with somewhat lower performance than the DDR5 memory supported by these processors, something we have already seen in other mini PCs already on sale. A hardware that offers good performance for light tasks, multimedia, office automation of all kinds or network operations.
MSI Cube N ADL Specifications
The new MSI Cube N ADL has several processor options, all of them are part of the new Generation 12 with Intel Alder Lake-N technology. The manufacturing process is 10 nm (Intel 7) which represents the end of Intel Celeron and Pentium processors, as well as a considerable performance improvement.
- Intel N100 with 4 cores and 4 threads, 2.9/3.4GHz . Intel HD Graphics 750MHz GPU. TPD 6W.
- Intel N200 with 4 cores and 4 threads, 3.2G/3.7GHz. Intel HD Graphics 750MHz GPU. TPD 6W.
This mini PC will be available in different versions, combining RAM and storage in different capacities. On the board there is a slot for a DDR4 SO-DIMM module up to 3200 MHz. Curiously, have listed versions with two SODIMM DDR4 2666 MHz are also announced, something that theoretically these processors do not support. For storage, we have a connector for SSD M.2 NVMe/SATA 2280 PCI 3.0 x4 and option to mount a 2.5″ SATA disk.
Other features
In the wireless connectivity section we have an adapter up to Wifi 6E + Bluetooth 5 with internal antennas. We also have multiple front ports with two USB-A 3.2, a USB-C 3.2 connector (10 Gbps), audio jack and power button. In the rear area we have two Gigabit Ethernet network ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, two HDMI 2.1 + DP 1.4 video outputs that added to the USB-C allow us to connect up to 3 screens in 4K@60fps quality.
These new mini PCs have very compact dimensions with integrated VESA support, they have an external power transformer. These computers are perfect for desktop, industrial use or digital signage.
