The Chinese do not stop lately to release new miniPCs and although there is a lot of mediocrity we also find some of these small PCs such as the NVISEN Y-MU01 that are already designed with more care. This miniPC is small in size with only 12.8 x 12.8 x 3.8 cm and we like it since its DisplayPort video port can output 4K resolutions at 60fps so we can have a low consumption HTPC connected to any TV using a simple DisplayPort adapter to HDMI 2.0. From the rest of its configuration, note that it is available with i5 and i7 Low Power Processors capable of moving any current program.
Processor, RAM and storage
The NVISEN Y-MU01 miniPC is available with Intel Core i7-8565U and Core i5-8265U Quad Cores manufactured in 14nm with a 28 W TDP and an Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU. In this miniPC we can have versions that include up to 16 GB of RAM and internally we have space for 1 M.2 2280 SSD and another 2.5-inch SATA 3.
Other features
At the wireless connectivity level we have a miniPCI-e card with Dual Band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 on all models, except the one that comes without RAM or storage unit. As for connectors despite its small size we find 4 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, RJ45 Gigabyte network connector, HDMI 1.4 port, a Display Port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
Price and availability
- The NVISEN Y-MU01 miniPC can be purchased at Banggood.com from $ 345.99 in its cheapest version with free shipping included in the price.
Nice and portable unit, but there is no obvious was of opening the case to add remove storage and memory.
The sata connection on the motherboard is 9-pin. Anyone know where the sata cable might be found? They don’t appear to have it at Banggood.
Sure is 9 pin? maybe the sata cables are not in the picture, ask to banggood.
