Palit GeForce GTX 1650 KalmX, a new fanless discrete GPU

Passive solutions at the dedicated GPU level are not many in the market and it is always good news to receive news about it and the new Palit GeForce GTX 1650 KalmX offers us a high power with a completely silent cooling system. The Palit brand has always offered us a passive model in all generations of NVIDIA and in this case we have the same radiator design of the previous system but with an update to Turing technology.

This type of GPU is ideal for those who need a higher performance in Gaming but do not want any sound although it is clear that we will be able to play AAA titles at 4K but they will not be a problem in FullHD. At the video playback level you will not have problems with any 4K HDR format and payment streams such as Netflix 4K. A potential rival of the AMD Ryzen APU as a similar solution.

Specifications

The Palit GeForce GTX 1650 KalmX is an identical version to that of its comparable model with fans, the consumption is 75W at most and as we see it has no dedicated power connector. It will be highly recommended to have the PC case well ventilated so that the heat generated by its fin radiator and the two heatpipes is evacuated. At the connector level we have an HDMI 2.0b output and two DP1.4a connectors that allow resolutions up to 7680×4320@60Hz.

It has a clock speed between 1485/1665 MHz in turbo mode, somewhat lower than the similar model with ventilation, but nothing significant and also has 896 CUDA cores. We have 4GB GDDR5  of integrated memory with speed up to 8 Gbps, something key to get performance since other passive solutions cheaper in the market do not integrate this amount or type of RAM.

Availability

  • The new Palit GeForce GTX 1650 KalmX will soon be available on Amazon or Newegg for an approximate price of $199 (€190) based on the previous model with similar specifications.
