If you are a fan of DOS and Windows 95 game emulation, the Pocket 386, a small laptop with an x86 processor, should not be missing in your collection.
A small laptop with a 7″ screen measuring only 21 x 12 x 3 cm and with an ALi M6117 SoC at its heart where an Intel 386SX processor is embedded, so compatibility is 100% guaranteed. Here we can run natively old systems such as DOS, Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and develop whatever we want thanks to its multiple output interfaces.
A machine for retro enthusiasts, but which can also be of practical use in industrial applications with old hardware that requires this type of PC.
Pocket 386 Specifications
The Pocket 386 has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels that works in 4:3 and 16:9 formats. The quality of the screen is pretty basic, but we can always connect an external one that accepts VGA adapter, if we still have one.
The engine is an ALi M6117 chip that integrates among others a 386SX compatible CPU running between 25 and 40 MHz speed and 4 MB of EDO RAM. We find as connectors a PS2/VGA, parallel port, ISA GPIO, ISA-8 bit, ISA-16 bit, a USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio output jack and a CF card reader. We also have a 4000 mAh battery and a 12V-1.5A charger is included.
