11.11: Powkiddy RGB20S, retro handheld console at minimum price

Thanks to the sales and coupons of the Aliexpress 11.11 festival we can get the Powkiddy RGB20S console at its minimum price. An interesting machine that allows us to emulate many systems.

In the new Powkiddy RGB20S we now have a higher resolution IPS OCA display reaching 640×480 pixels. In terms of hardware we have the interesting Rockchip RK3326 Quad Core SoC that offers quite good results in performance for classic 2D and 3D consoles.

As included system we have EmuElec 4.3, the latest version available, with which we can easily move the included PSP, N64, PS1 and CPS3 emulators as well as many other 8 and 16-bit consoles that require less power.

Powkiddy RGB20S Specs

This compact retro console Powkiddy RGB20S has as main engine the Rockchip RK3326 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured with 4 ARM Cortex-A35 processors capable of reaching a maximum speed of 1.5 GHz. On the graphics side we have a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that copes quite well, although in heavy 3D games it may suffer.

This console has integrated 1 GB of RAM DDR3L and comes with a micro SD with different capacities used to store the EmuElec 4.3 system and its games. Typically, we have about 20,000/30,000 depending on the SD version selected.

The IPS screen is 3.5 inches in size with a resolution of 640×480 pixels and covered by an OCA film. The internal battery has a capacity of 3500 mAh capable of lasting up to 8 hours and we can recharge it through a USB Type-C port.

The rest of the connectors we find are a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB Type-C OTG connector and a micro SD card reader, for audio we have a 1 W speaker and as a novelty we find dual-channel Wifi connectivity as standard with a button to turn it on and off on the side. It has two analog controls, crosshead, eight buttons, four rear triggers, two micro SD card readers and an audio jack.
