Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick new dongle for 4K streaming

Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick is the name chosen for the latest TV Stick that has just been presented in China and that hopefully we will soon see in the global market.

This is a 100% streaming oriented device and comes to us with Google TV as the system, most likely Android TV 11, with Chromecast and Google Assistant integration. We do not have all the full specs of the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick, but it seems that it carries a new SoC AMlogic S905W2, as we have Cortex-A35 cores, a dual Core GPU, support for HDR10+ and absence of Dolby Vision, as indicated by the published features.

SoC, RAM and storage

Everything indicates that the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick integrates as engine an AMlogic S905W2 SoC a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A35 processors that reach 1.8 Ghz and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that reaches 650 Mhz. This SoC includes decoding of the new AV1 codec, video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions and support for HDR 10, HDR10+ and HLG technologies.

The RAM memory is 2 GB while for storage we have only 8 GB so we will be able to install only a few apps and this space can not be expanded, since we do not have memory card reader.

Other specifications

For wireless connectivity, we have wifi aC Dual Band and Bluetooth 5.0. The connectors are totally absent, as we only have a micro USB port for power and an HDMI 2.1 video connector.

The included remote control is via Bluetooth and we have direct access buttons to Prime Video, Netflix, Youtube and Google Music plus microphone for voice functions.

Pricing and availability

  • The new Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick will currently only be available in India for about $59 / €48 at the exchange rate and we do not know for sure if it will jump to the global market.
