Today we find in the Banggood.com online store a “new” TV-Box with Android 9.0 called S922, a multimedia box that basically looks like the RKM MK25 Box at all levels, which we saw in Review, but without a brand and at a lower price.
Externally it is identical with two WiFi antennas and a metal box that includes a front LED panel. Regarding its hardware, in addition to the Hexa Core S922X SoC, it seems that we have the same as in RKM MK25 with WiFi aC 2T2R and Gigabit Ethernet between some of its specifications, so it is possible that the firmwares of both models are compatible.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Box S922 includes the Amlogic S922X SoC, a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 1.8Ghz + 2 ARM Cortex-A53 processors reaching 1.9Ghz. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G52 MP6 that allows us to run powerful games like PUBG without problems. At the VPU level we have the Amlogic Video Engine (AVE-10) processor with all kinds of HDR support, Dolby Vision, etc.… The RAM is 2/4GB DDR4 and the storage is 16/32GB eMMc expandable thanks to a microSD card reader that we have on one side.
Other features
Regarding wireless connectivity, the S922 has WiFi aC 2T2R with double external antenna and Bluetooth 4.2 in all two versions. At the interface level, we have 1 USB 3.0 ports, another USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output, an HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm analog audio and video jack on the perimeter of the plastic box.
The operating system is Android 9.0 and a remote control is included as well as cables and a power supply.
