After several years of prototypes, the PC Smach Z portable console shows us several videos where it executes PC games in real time. A hardware that is supported by the interesting SoC AMD Ryzen V1000 and that offers us enough power to move demanding titles by adjusting the details to the appropriate level.
In the Smach Z console we have the SoC AMD Ryzen V1605B with four cores and eight wires and a speed between 2 and 3.6 GHz. It integrates a Vega GPU with 8 CU and maximum speed of 1.1 Ghz and mounts DDR4 memory up to 2400 MHz. The average consumption of this unit is about 15 W and as we see has active ventilation and a battery of 46 Whr that according to its makers will give us a useful life of 5 hours.
This portable / PC console has a 6-inch touch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution that allows us to take the video signal to a screen through its DisplayPort connector, includes a USB Type-C port, another USB Type-A, microUSB and a microSD card reader. The compatible operating systems are Windows 10 and Linux.
In demo videos we can see how games run from the Steam platform like the popular GTA V, Firewatch, Starcraft 2, Age of Empires 2, Civilization 6, Cuphead or Nuclear Throne. It is possible to move in all kinds of titles thanks to its analog and tactile controls like those found in the Steam Controller.
