Super console X a good alternative for retro emulation

The Super console X is getting good reviews, since for a low price it allows to have at home an easy platform for retro 8/16 bit emulation, very worthy and with a couple of controllers.

The Super console X draws attention for its retro design that takes as a model a Super NES, inside we have an Amlogic S905M SoC that is responsible for running EmuElec with the thousands of games and dozens of emulators of all kinds that it includes. The emulation in general is quite good and includes several options with controllers and cards full of games. If you like messing around, it’s easy to have a platform like this cheaper and more powerful by buying a box with Amlogic S905X3 SoC like the X96 MAX + and installing EmuElec to achieve the same results.

The Super console X includes an Amlogic S905M SoC as its engine, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that reach 1.5 GHz and that integrates an ARM Mali-450 MP3 GPU. The RAM memory is 1 GB and the storage is external via microSD card where the games and the system are also stored.

For connectivity, we have 2 USB 2.0 ports, 3.5 mm analogue audio and video output, HDMI 2.0 port, 10/100 network connector and a micro SD card reader. As you can see, it is basically an Android TV-Box without internal storage.

Price and availability
