T-Bao TBOOK MN4 a mini PC with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU at rock bottom price


Today we have a good price for the powerful T-Bao TBOOK MN4 mini PC, a computer that features the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU, a chip that is hard to find even in laptops.

Thanks to the Hexa Core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU we have a very balanced performance and low power consumption that make this chip a processor suitable for a desktop PC that supports fairly demanding games. This small computer has a box with Gaming touches and has many expansion options despite its size.

It also has a 65W GaN charging adapter, Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Undoubtedly a very interesting solution for the day to day that allows us to move any program smoothly and even run many games at a decent graphics quality by adjusting details.

Processor, RAM and storage

Inside the T-Bao TBOOK MN4 mini PC we find the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU that includes 6 physical cores and 12 threads capable of reaching 4.0 GHz in turbo mode, its base frequency is 2.3 GHz and the TDP of 15 W. The GPU is an AMD Radeon Vega 6 that reaches 1500 GHz. In the memory and storage section we have versions with up to 32 GB of RAM DDR4 in Dual Channel and a PCie NVMe 2280 SSD 256/512 GB or 1TB capacity that we can easily replace. We also find a 2.5-inch SATA3 storage bay.

Connectivity and other specifications

In terms of wireless connectivity we have a Wifi 6 AX200 adapter and Bluetooth 5.1 with internal antenna. On the perimeter of the case we have two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 3.1 Gen2, two USB Type-C Gen2 one of them with PD for electrical charging with 65W GaN adapter, 2 3.5 mm audio jacks, two RJ45 Gigabit network connectors, HDMI 2.0 video output ports with 4K@60 HDR support and another DisplayPort also with support for UHD resolutions.

Maybe it’s just me but that’s not a rock bottom price. I mean add a bit and you can already get a laptop with this processor which is probably better to have than a mini-PC.
Maybe I’d agree with decent price but rock bottom would be $200 or something.

For $600 in my country I can get a Lenovo with the same processor and a FHD IPS screen. Specs are otherwise quite identical for RAM and SSD. OK $200 was an exaggeration but as a bare bone it’s quite doable. This miniPC is not fanless as far as I can tell, not sure it’s much more expandable than a laptop where you usually can also change the RAM and SSD so … all in all it’s a laptop without the screen for almost the same price.
