We already have information and features of a new TV-Box equipped with the SoC Low Cost of Amlogic S905Y2 this time under the name of TX5 MAX. A Box with the typical quadrangular plastic black box that does not stand out especially in terms of connectivity and which has as a strong point the AMlogic SoC included where the video quality is superior to the chips of the previous generation and that includes compatibility with Dolby Vision , HDR10 +, H.265, VP9, ect .. and includes an HDMI 2.1 output capable of reaching resolutions 4K @ 75fps.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TV-Box TX5 MAX includes the new SoC from AMlogic S905Y2, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-G31mp2 GPU. The included RAM is 2 / 4GB LPDDR4 and the storage is 16 / 32GB eMMc. In theory, a SoC with which we will not have problems when using it as a media player or for games as it is superior to the Amlogic S905X.
Other specifications
At the level of wireless connectivity it seems that we have aC WiFi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. The connectors included in this TV-Box are a microSD card reader, an HDMI 2.1 video output, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 and an SPDIF digital audio output.
The operating system installed is Android 8.1 although it includes the Alice launcher.
