Xiaomi does not stop release products and yesterday presented two new routers the Xiaomi Mi Router 4A and the Xiaomi Mi Router 4 Gigabit Edition. Two new models of routers that maintain the design of the previous Xiaomi Mi Router 4 but that seem to cut somewhat their specifications to further adjust the sale price. We have already lost the account of the versions that Xiaomi has of the Mi Router 4, but some already touch the most absolute absurdity taking into account their differences in price and specifications.
The most interesting model is undoubtedly the Xiaomi Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition where we find as a processor a Mediatek MT7621A Dual Core capable of reaching 880Mhz. In this version 128MB of RAM memory is maintained and the NAND internal memory is cut to 16MB with respect to the Xiaomi Mi Router 4 normal model. The Wifi chip has the protocols IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, IEEE 802.3 / 3u / 3ab and reaches up to 1167Mbps while in the front of the modem we have a button that activates fast connections via MiNet with intelligent devices the own brand.
At the level of connectivity we have 2 LAN ports and 1 Gigabit WAN but we don’t have USB connector. In this version a new metal plate and ventilation slots in the lower part have been added to improve heat dissipation and avoid heating problems.
On the other hand the basic version Xiaomi Mi Router 4A has a lower processor MT7628DA has 16MB of ROM and only 64MB of RAM, in addition the network ports are reduced to 10/100 which is quite interesting.
- The price for the new Xiaomi Mi Router 4A will be around $21 (€20), soon sure we see it in stores like Gearbest.com with shipping costs included in the price.
