TANIX TX7, new Box with Allwinner H728 and Android 14

We already have available a new TV-Box with Android to connect and smartizar our TV with the SoC Allwinner H728, it is the TANIX TX7.

This is an economic Box that comes with the recent Octa Core Allwinner H728 processor and is at the height of the known Amlogic S905X4 and Amlogic S922X. This is a TV-Box oriented to 4K multimedia playback, IPTV or to use games and emulators, although in this case it comes with a good network connectivity, as we have Gigabit Ethernet network port and Wifi 6.

The operating system that comes with this Android Box is Android 14 and can be used as a content receiver, since it supports DNLA, AirPlay and Miracast technologies. Remember that this TV-Box is not certified for Netflix nor has Widevine L1 so it is not suitable for use with paid streaming platforms.

This new Android Box is powered by the recent Allwinner H728 Octa Core SoC manufactured in 22 nm. This is a chip that integrates 8 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach up to 2.2 Ghz top speed. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G57 MC1 with support for 4K video playback at 60 fps and compatibility with HDR10 and HLG technologies.

Of this TV box we have versions with 2/4 GB of RAM DDR3 and 16/32/64 GB of storage memory eMMc. Storage that we can expand thanks to the slot for micro SD cards that includes we assume that up to 64 GB at least.

Other notable features

In the field of wireless connectivity we have a good equipment thanks to its Wifi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.4. As connectors we find in its small plastic case a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0, RJ45 Gigabit network connector, 3.5 mm jack with analog audio and video output, SPDIF connector and an HDMI 2.0a video output port that allows us to output video up to 4K@60fps resolutions.

As for accessories, the TANIX TX7 Box comes with a remote control with microphone, power supply and HDMI cable to start using this Box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to our TV.
