Magcubic HY300MAX another small 720P projector with Android 14

Today we look at the new Magcubic HY300MAX projector, another low-priced projector that this time comes with the new Allwinner H726 Octa Core projector.

This is a projector that stands on a small rotating stand, a design that makes it suitable for orienting the image to any angle. Inside we find the Allwinner H726 processor, a variant of the well-known Allwinner H728 and the native resolution of this projector is HD with 1280 x 720 pixels with a brightness of 400 ANSI Lumens, which limits its use for dark environments.

The Magcubic HY300MAX configuration integrates small sensors on the front to achieve automatic keystone correction and autofocus. This is unusual in this range of cheap projectors, where such actions are performed manually.

This projector features LCD projection technology, a native HD 720p resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, contrast up to 4000:1 and brightness of 400 ANSI Lumens. The focus is automatic, as is the keystone correction. We can get a screen with recommended dimensions ranging between 60″ and 150″ placing it at a distance of between 1.06 and 2.6 m.

In this projector for its small size we do not have direct control keys, we only have a power button. We can only control it through the remote control that is included with this projector.

Connections, multimedia and other notable features

Integrated on the projector board, we find the low power consumption Octa Core SoC Allwinner H726 manufactured in 22 nm. A chip that includes 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.8 Ghz and an ARM MALI-G31 MP2 GPU with support for HDR10 and MEMC video. We also have on its motherboard 1 GB of RAM DDR4, 8 GB of storage memory, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.

In the rear area of the Magcubic HY300MAX we have a USB 2.0 port and an HDMI 2.0 video input connector. For audio, we have integrated in its body a 5 W speaker and the operating system is Android 14 with a customization layer for use with the included remote control.
