The new MINISFORUM M2 mini PC is now available—a computer with an aluminum case that offers some very impressive specs for the price.
Powering the system is the efficient Intel Core Ultra X7 356H processor, a solution that allows us to run any demanding app without limitations. Even without connecting an eGPU, we have the new Intel Arc iGPU with the new, highly efficient Xe cores as our graphics solution. Additionally, it features a dedicated NPU for running various artificial intelligence models locally. It includes two 2.5G Ethernet ports for setting up a powerful server if desired.
This machine offers a USB4 port with speeds of up to 40 Gbps, allowing you to easily connect an external GPU and get better performance in demanding AAA games.
Specifications of the MINISFORUM M2 Mini PC
This MINISFORUM M2 computer features the Intel Core Ultra X7 356H processor, with 16 cores (4P 8E 4LPE) running at 1.5–4.7 GHz and power consumption between 15–80 W. For the GPU, it features an Intel Arc B390 with 4 Xe cores up to 2.45 GHz, offering image and performance enhancements via XeSS. Additionally, it includes an NPU for AI tasks capable of up to 50 TOPS; combined with the CPU, this brings the total to 90 TOPS.
For RAM, we can install a total of 16 / 32 GB DDR5 in Dual Channel SODIMMs up to 5600 MHz. For storage, there are two slots for 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0×4 SSDs, providing a total capacity of up to 8 TB.
Other notable features
In terms of connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two 2.5G Ethernet ports. For ports, there are three USB-A 3.2, one USB-A 2.0, one USB4 up to 40 Gbps, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and two video outputs : HDMI 2.1 TMDS and DP 1.4. In total, you can connect up to three displays simultaneously at 8K@60 HDR resolutions.
The power supply is an external 120 W unit that simply plugs into the rear DC port. The case design includes VESA mounting to attach it to a monitor. It is compatible with Windows 11 Pro or select Linux distributions.
