Xiaomi has just officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated new lineup, the Redmi Note 17 Series. The brand has decided to skip the 16 series entirely and jump straight to the 17, a strategy intended to reflect a major technological leap forward compared to the previous generation. Xiaomi has unveiled the first promotional posters, and the launch date is set for July 14.
The main highlights of this lineup will focus on shock-resistant durability, high-brightness displays, and long battery life.
Redmi Note 17 Series
On the hardware front, leaked details reveal up to three key models: the Redmi Note 17, the Note 17 Pro, and the flagship Note 17 Pro Max. The standard and Pro models will feature efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 6-series processors, while the crown jewel, the Pro Max, is expected to make the leap to a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 7500 SoC.
On the front, we’ll find 6.83-inch flat OLED displays with 1.5K resolution capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,500 nits for good visibility in sunlight. As for the camera system, the main lenses will range from 50 MP to 200 MP on the top-of-the-line model.
Batteries and Cameras
The Redmi Note 17 series now features 9,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery technology in the Pro model and up to 10,100 mAh in the Pro Max variant while maintaining a slim profile. To power these portable power stations, we’ll have 67W HyperCharge wired fast-charging systems. We’ll also have an ultra-durable chassis with IP69K waterproof certification, designed to withstand impacts and high-pressure water jets.
The entire lineup will ship with the new HyperOS 3.1 operating system based on Android 16, with an international rollout set to begin in key markets just a few weeks after its Asian debut.
