A new entry-level smartphone called the HONOR X7e Plus has been unveiled, a device with some pretty interesting specs.
This new Realme model features a body with military-grade certification, advanced water and dust resistance thanks to IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, and is submersible and resistant to drops from great heights. Otherwise, its processor isn’t exactly cutting-edge it’s the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 685, which scores 440,000 points on Antutu, enough for the average user when it comes to apps and games.
The operating system is Android 16 with the Magic OS overlay, which includes various AI-powered enhancements designed by the manufacturer. It measures 168 × 78 × 8.5 mm and weighs 218.5 g.
HONOR X7e Plus Specifications
The chip in this new HONOR X7e Plus, aimed at the lower-mid-range market, is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC manufactured on a 6nm process. It’s an octa-core chip with high-performance ARM Cortex-A73 cores capable of reaching 2.8 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a maximum speed of 1.9 GHz, and an Adreno 610 GPU that runs at 614 MHz. A processor powerful enough to run apps smoothly and play games at near-top-tier quality.
This model comes in versions with 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM soldered onto the motherboard, and for storage, it features 256 GB ofeMMC 5.1, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB thanks to the included microSD card reader.
Display, Cameras, and Battery
This device features a 6.87-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The front-facing camera is 5 MP, while the main rear camera has a 108 MP sensor, supported by a secondary depth-of-field camera and an LED flash.
It offers Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, 5-in-1 GPS, a 4G LTE modem with dual SIM support, and an 8,100 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging. It features a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer, a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, and a single speaker for audio.
