The new Ugoos SK3 Android Box costs nearly $400, a high-end device that comes with 8 GB of RAM, a good selection of ports, and a powerful Rockchip processor. However, we don’t see anything that justifies its price at all—after all, for €400, you can’t even buy a very decent mini PC.
The Rockchip RK3588S2-DV processor powers the system—an 8-nm chip that delivers great efficiency and performance. Additionally, this Rockchip SoC supports AV1 video decoding, Dolby Audio, Atmos, and Dolby Vision.
The operating system is based on Android 12 and does NOT have DRM certificates to watch Netflix and similar services in high quality. It’s a version of Android that comes with many extra audio, video, and network settings, as well as the Superuser feature—just as we’ve come to expect from this brand.
Ugoos SK3 Specifications
At the heart of this digital media player is the powerful Rockchip RK3588S2-DV processor, manufactured using an 8-nm process. This chip integrates four ARM Cortex-A76 cores capable of reaching 2.4 GHz and four additional ARM Cortex-A55 cores that reach up to 1.8 GHz. On the graphics side, it features a powerful ARM Mali-G610MC4 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU for artificial intelligence tasks. It has 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of eMMC storage.

In terms of network connectivity, the Ugoos SK3 features a Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. The ports included are an audio jack, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C OTG port, and an SPDIF digital audio output. For video outputs, the back panel features an HDMI 2.1 port supporting video resolutions up to 8K@60Hz and a USB-C DP 1.4 port supporting 4K@60Hz.
A Bluetooth remote control with air-mouse and voice search is also included to control the system.
