The Coolpad COOL X Wide is now available in China—an affordable smartphone that stands out for its 16:10 aspect ratio display, which looks set to become a trend in 2027.
This modest device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor, which will allow it to run the operating system and all kinds of apps smoothly, thanks to its AnTuTu v11 score of about 435,000 points. It comes with 8/12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, allowing you to run multiple apps or browser tabs simultaneously. For storage, you can choose between 128/256 GB of UFS 2.2, though you can expand the capacity with microSD cards.
The display is a 6.38-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1158 × 720 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. For photography, it features an 8 MP front-facing camera and a 50 MP rear camera assisted by a 2 MP secondary camera.
It offers wireless connectivity, including Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, FM radio, GPS, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 4G-LTE modem with dual SIM support. It features a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port, and the built-in battery has a capacity of 4,600 mAh with 18 W fast charging. Finally, it runs on Android 16 and weighs 209 grams.
