Today we find a new TV-Box called A1 Pro in the Chinese stores, which becomes part of the list of the few Boxes that include satellite tuner, DTT and Cable
The A1 Pro is striking for its price, only $ 41.55, but if we look inside it loses a lot of interest, since it only has 1 GB of RAM, something absurd in these times and more in a team with tuners, where even 2GB of RAM is a very fair amount. The positive part is that despite having a somewhat old SoC such as Amlogic’s S905D it has Android 9.0 and as usual with support for cccam, xusb, biss, powervu and tandberg.
SoC, RAM and storage
The A1 Pro box includes the S905D SoC, a Quad Core from Amlogic specially designed to be integrated in equipment with DTT or satellite tuners that has a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of outputting video resolutions up to 4K @ 60fps with support for HDR10 and HLG. Inside we have only 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of storage memory. An insufficient memory configuration for a computer with tuners, especially if we plan to use it intensively.
Other specs
Regarding wireless connectivity we only have Wi-Fi b / g / n, while as connectors we find an HDMI 2.0 video output interface, a pair of USB 2.0 connectors, RJ45 10/100 network connector, an analogue A/V output and antenna input and output for tuners. Finally, as usual, it includes a simple infrared remote control among the accessories.
