It seems that the new Android 9.0 is extended among the TV-Boxes equipped with the RK3328 SoC from Rockchip since today we find a new version of the Box A5X Plus MiNi that includes this OS. This is a modest team that seems to be selling quite well as it has been going by versions from Android 7.0 to the recent Android 9.0. The configuration is the same as in previous versions so we do not rule out a compatible firmware update with which all the equipment under this name can be updated.
SoC, RAM and storage
This version of the A5X Plus MiNi includes the new RK3328 SoC features four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and as a graphics core it integrates a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K@60fps with support for HLG HDR. We also find 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand thanks to a microSD card reader included on the side of the box.
Other features
Regarding wireless connectivity we only have WiFi b/g/n with internal antenna and as for connectors we found a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog audio and video output and an HDMI 2.0a port.
