Thanks to the options in our BIOS we can change the processor speed, also assign more RAM to the integrated GPU, GPU speed and limit TPD consumption. Many manufacturers lock these features so that users do not exceed the design limits of the device, so we have to be careful what we change.

Advanced BIOS settings
On mini PCs in general we must use AMD or Intel specific software to open these options.

Main advanced options in BIOS
In the advanced BIOS settings you will normally find all the options where you can modify the system in detail. In the following image you can see the usual settings, in a BIOS with graphical environment we will have them similar in the advanced mode.

AMD specific settings
All AMD computers have a number of specific features, usually grouped under AMD CBS. Here we can adjust the settings for this platform.
- CPU: CPU performance settings
- DF: Advanced RAM settings and other components
- UMC: RAM speed and other RAM properties
- NBIO: PCIe, GPU and Audio settings, among others
- FCH: USB ports and peripherals control
- SMU: Power, thermal, cooling and other settings
- SOC: Security and platform specific controls

GPU settings in BIOS
It is possible to change the amount of RAM dedicated to our integrated GPU from the BIOS. It is important that the system RAM is as fast as possible to speed up the graphics card.
- Advanced > AMD CBS > NBIO Options > GFX Configuration

- iGPU Configuration > UMA Specified
- CAUTION: Never select iGPU Disabled or the system will go black
- UMA Frame Buffer Size > 4 GB (for example)

CPU settings in BIOS
On some processors it is possible to change the base processing speed of the CPU, this will affect system stability and thermals. Consult our CPU limits and revert in case of problems.

RAM settings in BIOS
On some processors it is possible to change the base processing speed of the CPU, this will impact system stability and thermals. Consult our CPU limits and revert in case of issues.
- Advanced > AMD CBS > UMC > UMC > DDR Timing > OK
- Active Memory Riming Settings > Enabled
- Memory Speed > Auto or Adjust according to RAM installed and accepted by the processor
- If you notice instability in the system revert changes or leave on Auto

Power control and power on settings
In these settings we can control the system consumption profiles and remote power systems. An essential section to squeeze it or work with it remotely.
- Advanced > AMD CBS > SMU
- CAUTION: Here we have several options about the power limit of our system, this affects thermals and system instability. They may vary depending on the equipment.
- System Configuration: Overall system power limit
- ECO Mode: Low power profile of the APU.

- Advanced > Power Configuration
- AC Failure / Auto Power ON: Decide whether to power on the computer automatically or not, this is useful for remote power on with a smart plug.
- Resume / Wake on LAN / WOL: Remote power on from network with application, better the previous option.
- Wake up RTC: Set automatic power up with system clock
- Power mode: Different power profiles.

– Power saving: limits consumption and maximum power, ideal for office, server or multimedia.
