New exploit published on XDA to unlock your Amazon Fire TV-Stick, Smart TV or Fire tablet. With it you can change the launcher and block automatic updates.
Thanks to the user Pro-me3us we have this new jailbreak method that allows us to get the most out of our Fire TV-Stick or Fire tablet with Fire OS 7 or 8 system. To perform the process, we need to connect the hardware to a PC and perform several steps from ADB. This hack allows us to modify the system permanently, but does not get full root access. Keep in mind that this procedure can put our hardware at risk, and it can be damaged beyond repair.
Surely in a few days Amazon will release a patch to block this new method of unlocking, so if we want to perform the method to hurry to apply it.
Process for unlocking Amazon Fire TV-Sticks, Smart TV or Fire tablets
- Device on Fire OS version 7 or 8 (September 2025)
- Follow the steps in the XDA thread
- Requires a PC and knowledge of Android ADB
