Today we have available for download the new AMD Adrenalin Edition 2022 software, the latest addition to AMD’s software suite that integrates the FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 update.
Along with this software, the company has also announced the next generation of the popular and widely adopted resolution-enhancing technology, AMD FidelityFX 2.0. These new technologies are designed to enhance gaming to new levels of performance, responsiveness and graphics fidelity.
Along with performance and reliability improvements, the latest version of AMD’s software increases the speed of driver downloads and improves notifications when starting games, along with other new and enhanced features:
- AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) technology – RSR is a spatial scaling feature integrated into the driver, which is based on the same algorithm as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology. It delivers near-native resolution and increased performance in games running in exclusive, full-screen mode with graphics cards based on AMD RDNA™ architecture or newer and supports thousands of games.
- AMD Link – The updated version of the AMD Link Play feature now allows up to four users to connect to a PC with AMD Radeon graphics solutions from another Android or Windows PC, mobile, tablet or TV, allowing them to share their gaming experiences.
- Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS) – The latest version of RIS, which brings sharpness and clarity to images in games, with smoothing and scaling thanks to post-processing, can now be used to enhance visuals in video playback and other productivity applications, with just one click.
- AMD also announced the next generation of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). FSR 2.0 uses legacy frame data to deliver similar or better than native image quality at all resolutions. FSR 2.0 delivers incredible image quality without the need for dedicated machine learning hardware. FSR 2.0 supports a wide range of AMD graphics products and platforms, as well as competitive GPUs, delivering spectacular performance and image quality.
