With the name of Anbernic PAP I we get the first console in TV-Stick format of this brand, with a rather disappointing hardware as we will see.
This console comes with an all-in-one package that includes the console, two controllers to choose from and an SD card with thousands of games. A format that we have already seen in other consoles in TV-Box format in our reviews, and this time with the option to choose between Playstation or Xbox style controllers.
As for hardware surprises the inclusion of a Quad Core SoC of 2013, an Actions ATM7039S, a totally outdated processor that does not bring much and will limit us to games at most 16bit, arcade or PS1.
Specifications of the Anbernic PAP I
Inside the TV-Stick Anbernic PAP I we find as engine a Soc Quad Core ATM7039S of Actions manufactured in 28nm. An already outdated chip that incorporates four ARM Cortex-A9 cores that reach a maximum speed of 1.6 Ghz and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The maximum resolution of the system is only 720p something that will give it an even more retro tone.
This console includes only 256 MB of DDR3 RAM. For storage, we have one micro SD card readers to boot the Linux based OS and store games.
Display and other features
As for connectors we have a micro-USB for charging, the micro SD slot which is already occupied with the Linux + games system and two USB which will also be blocked by the two controller connectors. In the front area, we have an HDMI 1.4 female that includes an adapter and an extender cable. A rather absurd and peculiar configuration.
The included controllers as we can see have two designs, the classic PlayStation DualShock or the popular Xbox 360 design. The only positive option offered by this hardware.
Price on offer
- Anbernic PAP I can be purchased on AliExpress only for $69 with controllers, 5000 games and shipping included.
- We do NOT recommend buying this pack, it is better to buy a more powerful Box and install EmuELEC or similar.
