With the name of Anbernic PAP II today we find a new retro console that has a design similar to the classic Playstation 2, a device that also carries numerous pre-installed games.
The new Anbernic PAP II offers 5000 games as standard, and by default comes with two gamepads to play many of its titles. As we see the two included controllers have an identical design to those of PlayStation, even the connector is the same as we had in this legendary console. By default, this hardware can emulate PS1, CPS1, CPS2, NeoGeo, GBA, SFC, MD, FC, GB, GBC, SMS, GG running on a custom Linux system.
This is a simple device to play with emulators, although as an option you can always buy an Android Box with the more powerful Amlogic S905X3 SoC, such as the X96 MAX+ and install Emuelec or BATOCERA to achieve the same results.
Anbernic PAP II Specifications
Inside the Anbernic PAP II we find an Action 7039ST SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A9 processors that already has some time behind it. The RAM memory is 128 MB DDR3 and for storage we have a micro SD card where the thousands of games and the emulation system are stored.
For connectivity we have 2 ports for joysticks, audio output, HDMI port, micro SD card reader that supports cards up to 256 GB, reset button and power button. The two included gamepads, as we can see, are basically identical to the PS2 ones but with the action buttons with letters instead of Sony icons.
