The new ANBERNIC RG DDS retro console is now available for pre-order on AliExpress. It’s a major upgrade over the recent ANBERNIC RG PLUS RG, offering more power and dual screens like the 3DS, but with high resolution—and an astronomical price.
This ANBERNIC features the classic Nintendo 3DS design but comes with an impressive set of specs. It stands out for its 4 nm, actively cooled Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor, which will provide enough power for many games. It has 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage and includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, as well as a 6000 mAh battery.
On the top panel is a 4.7-inch 5:3 IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1200 x 720 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits. The lower 4″ 4:3 IPS display has a resolution of 960 x 720 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits. Combined, this gives us the exact resolution of a Nintendo 3DS x3, ensuring compatibility with Nintendo 3DS games. The top section features two speakers, a stylus, and a vibration motor.
In terms of controls, in addition to the D-pad and buttons, there are two analog sticks, allowing you to play many more titles than just those for the 3DS. The operating system is Android 16, compatible with RixelHK, and includes a physical button for direct access to AI.
