We’ve now unveiled the new Anbernic RG Rotate, a truly unique Android retro console thanks to its folding design.
The RG Rotate features a 3.5-inch 1:1 screen that folds along a single axis, rotating to one side—a very appealing design, but one that makes us question its durability, given the problems many Chinese consoles have had with simple hinges. Its closed body is really small, measuring just 80 x 80 x 21 mm, and it will be available in two versions: one with an aluminum body and a more affordable version with a plastic body.
It is powered by the Unisoc T618 processor, a chip that allows for the execution of certain games from the Nintendo GameCube, Dreamcast, PSP, PS1, and some PS2 titles. The operating system is Android 12, featuring various AI-powered utilities and support for the RixelHk ROM downloader developed by Anbernic itself.

Anbernic RG Rotate Specifications
Inside this ANBERNIC, we once again find an efficient Unisoc T618 Octa-Core SoC manufactured in 12nm. A chip that features two high-performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz, and an ARM Mali-G52 MP3 GPU that reaches 850 MHz.
The device also features 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of eMCP storage, which can be expanded up to 2 TB using the included microSD card reader.
Display and other features
The display is a 3.5-inch 1:1 touchscreen with a resolution of 720 × 720 pixels. It also features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It has a 2000 mAh battery that provides about 9 hours of use, a pair of stereo speakers, and a vibration motor. For controls, it features various function keys, 4 triggers, an analog D-pad, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging the internal battery.
