ANBERNIC RG405V, vertical retroconsole with Unisoc T618 SoC

The new ANBERNIC RG405V, a vertical format retro console that uses Android 12 as its system, is now available for sale.

This Anbernic is the vertical variant of the Anbernic RG405M although we have some improvement with a larger battery and an internal fan. Found inside the device is the Unisoc T618 processor, a chip that allows certain Nintendo Gamecube, Dreamcast, PSP, PS1 and some PS2 games to run. The RAM memory is 4 GB and for storage we have 128 GB eMMc.

The ANBERNIC RG405V stands out for its design with rounded lines, measures 145×105×35 mm and weighs 280 grams.

Inside the ANBERNIC RG405V we find again as engine an efficient SoC Octa Core Unisoc T618 manufactured in 12nm. A chip that has 2 high performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz ARM and an ARM Mali-G52 MP3 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz.

We also have integrated on board 4 GB of LPDDR4x 1866Mhz RAM and 128 GB of eMMc 5.1 storage memory that we can expand thanks to the included micro SD card reader up to 2 TB.

Display and other features

The screen is a 4-inch 4:3 touchscreen with a resolution of 640×480 pixels. We also have dual band wifi aC connectivity with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.2 LE. We have a 5500 mAh battery that will give us about 9 hours of use, a pair of stereo speakers, vibration motor and a front microphone. As controls we have several function keys, 4 parallel triggers, analog cross and 2 sticks at the bottom.

In terms of connectivity we find a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port for data and internal battery recharging.
