The recently launched Anbernic RG406V, a retro console with a very neat design in vertical format in the style of the classic Game Boy, has dropped in price.
This small emulation machine is powered by the UNISOC T620 processor used in tablets, which is an update of the UNISOC T616 with clock improvements in its ARM Cortex-A75 cores and GPU, something we will surely notice when running games up to PS2. The screen is vertical format, has 4 inches and includes Android 13 as a system so we have access to the entire Google app store where we can download all kinds of games and emulators.

This chip is an Octa Core that includes 2 high performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.2 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 1.8 GHz and an ARM Mali-G57 MP1 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz. A processor that is cooled by a small fan supported by a system of pipes.
On the motherboard, we have 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while for storage we have 128 GB of UFS 2.2 memory, which we can expand through the micro SD card reader up to 2 TB extra.
Other features
The panel of the RG406V console is an IPS OCA with a size of 4 inches (ca. 10 cm) and a resolution of 960×720 pixels. As for controls, we have a configuration with two HALL sticks with LED lighting, crosshead, four buttons, four triggers and other function keys. The connectors we find are a USB Type-C OTG and a 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headphones.
To complete its configuration we have Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, gyroscope, vibration, two speakers and a 5500 mAh battery that gives us according to the brand up to 8 h of autonomy.
