This is a chip quite capable of running N64, Dreamcast and PSP emulators hastily, although probably not quite up to the task of emulating the Nintendo GameCube and Wii. This Anbernic has dual operating system with Android 7.1 in the internal memory and Linux Batocera via micro SD so we can run all kinds of emulators.
The screen of the RG552 is one of its strong points, as it has a good resolution of 1920 x 1152 pixels and includes a pair of speakers and two vibration motors. In addition, this console is compatible with the ROCKNIX OS, ideal for improving the system that comes with it and tinkering with it.

Inside this portable retro console we have the Hexa Core Rockchip RK3399 SoC with two ARM Cortex-A72 cores, 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a GPU is a Mali-T860 MP4 that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video up to 4K@30fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. This SoC is fan cooled and we have tested its power in some review.
It also has on board 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB of high speed eMMc 5.1 storage memory where Android is installed. We also have two micro SD card readers, one to run Linux Batocera and a second reader that can be used for data storage or games.

The display of the ANBERNIC RG552 is a 5.36-inch IPS OCA laminated touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1152 pixels and an aspect ratio of 5:3. For wireless connectivity we have only Wi-Fi b/g/n, as it does not have Bluetooth.
Regarding connectors, we have a USB Type-C 3.0 port, 3.5 mm audio jack and a mini HDMI 1.4 video output in case we want to connect it to a TV or monitor. The battery is 6400 mAh and includes fast charging up to 30 W and promises a battery life of up to 6 hours.
