From time to time, like today, we also find some Box that uses only 2GB of RAM with SoC RK3328 and that naturally has a more affordable price than its bigger brothers with 4GB of RAM. The Alfawise A8X is a box of the cheap with a design of the most spartan that already comes from factory with Android 9.0 as OS so at least we will have a long lifespan in this new low-cost box.
SoC and memories
The Alfawise A8X TV-Box includes a Rockchip RK3328 SoC with 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450 MP2 GPU compatible with native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K @ 60fps resolution with support for HLG. HDR. We also find 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of expandable eMMc storage memory thanks to a microSD card reader included in one of the sides of the box. A sufficient configuration to move any media player like KODI without problems and most of APPS provided it is not 3D games of last generation.
Other features
At the level of wireless connectivity includes dual band WiFi with internal antenna and in terms of connectivity we find a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog audio and video output and an HDMI 2.0a compatible port with resolutions 4K at 60fps.
