ASRock 4X4 BOX-4000 new mini PC series with Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet 2.5Gbit

New mini PC ASRock 4X4 BOX-4000 with the latest APU AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir-U, a product that unfortunately we will only see focused on the industrial sector and not the domestic use.

These small computers mount three variants of AMD Ryzen 4000 processors and offer us as a novelty Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and two Ethernet ports one of them with 2.5 Gbit/s support. Inside this small box we find 2 bays for SO-DIMM RAM modules, space for a 2.5″ SSD SATA3 disk and a bay for NVMe M.2 disk.

SoC, RAM and storage

This mini PC ASRock 4X4 BOX-4000 has four versions AMD Ryzen 7 4800U which has 8 cores / 16 threads and Vega 8 GPU, AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with 6 cores / threads that integrates the Vega 6 GPU and finally the AMD Ryzen 3 4300U with 4 cores / threads with Vega 5 GPU. An APU with power consumption between 15 and 25 W TPD that to cool have an internal fan.

This compact PC allows us to mount up to 64 GB of RAM, as it includes two slots for SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 MHz modules, while for storage we have a free connector for an SSD NVMe 2242/2260/2280 and a SATA3 connector with space for a 2.5″ drive.

Other specifications

Within this mini PC we have in the area of wireless connectivity a Wi-Fi 6 AX200 adapter and Bluetooth 5.1. On the sides of the box we have 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2x USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 and another USB 3.2 Type-A Gen2, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a Gigabit Ethernet network port and another Ethernet 2.5 Gbit/s. Four video outputs are available, one HDMI 2.0a port with 4K@60 HDR, DP 1.2a support and two other DP outputs on USB Type-C. This mini PC is compatible with Windows 10 and Linux.
