ASRock has introduced two new mini PC models the ASRock DeskMini GTX (Z390) and the ASRock DeskMini GTX (B360). Those very compact miniPCs mounts a Micro-STX motherboard. This miniPC has an MXM GPU and the new chipsets open to us the doors to Intel processors of 9th generation with 65 or 95W TPD.
In the new ASRock DeskMini GTX Z370 and B360 mini PC we can install an NVIDIA GTX 1060/1080 GPU. These GPUs can be mounted in the MXM Type-B slot with support up to 120W that houses the Micro-STX board in the extra space that beats the Mini-STX format. The difference between the two miniPC is the controller that mount and in the case of the model Z370 we can mount up to three Ultra M.2 units in addition to Optane and supports processors up to 95W TPD, the B360 model stays in 65W TPD processors and fewer options of high-speed M.2 units.
The case of the ASRock DeskMini GTX/RX (Z370) is very compact and has a volume of only 2.7 liters. To electrically feed this device we have rear connections we have a 4-pin DC-IN connector for the external transformer from 19V to 220W. On the motherboard we can mount two SODIMM DDR4 slots up to 3200MHz and M.2 for Wifi + BT. We have HDMI 1.4 for the GPU integrated in the processor, DC-IN, 2x USB 3.0, DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and Mini-DP for the GPU in plate format MXM.
