If a few days ago we knew the new ASRock fanless motherboards with Intel Gemini Lake processors in mini-ITX format today we have another model called ASRock J4105M. In this case it is a micro-ATX format board with PCIe expansion socket to connect for example a dedicated graphics card, also in this model we have memory in DIMM format instead of SODIMM.
In the new passive plate ASRock J4105M we have integrated the Intel Celeron J4105 Quad Core that works between 1.5 and 2.5 GHz has 4 MB of Cache with a consumption of 10W TPD, supports up to 8 GB of DDR4 DIMM RAM with 2400 MHz speeds working on Dual Channel. In the graphical section we have the Intel UHD Graphics 600 GPU that reaches up to 750 MHz with support for HDMI 2.0 output up to 4K@ 60fps with hardware decoding for the HVEC codec and VP9 at 10bit color, plus VGA and DVI connector to have three screens at a time.
As for internal connections we have a Wifi Gigabit adapter in the SoC itself compatible with an Intel CNVi adapter in the M.2 slot to use with a Intel Wireless-AC 9560 CRF module, we also have two SATA3 ports, two internal COM, LPT, panel front, two internal USB 2.0 and another USB 3.0, front audio, two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots and a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. Externally we have two PS/2 connectors, two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet port and three audio jack for the Realtek ALC887 integrated sound card with 7.1 support.
- We will find the ASRock J4105M plate shortly in stores like Amazon.com for an approximate price of about $85
