Asus continues to expand its catalogue of low-power mini PCs with the new ASUS PL63, a small computer based on an 11th Generation Intel processor that complements its latest miniPC’s with Ryzen.
Inside we have a solvent Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor that you can read our review about and that includes a fairly decent integrated graphics such as the Intel Xe. Of this Asus unit, its dimensions of only 16 x 12 x 4 centimetres stand out, which allows it to be placed in any corner of our house, office or factory.
The ASUS PL63 is not a miniPC designed for the home, although it can be used, but for office environments, factories or digital signage, you only have to see its starting price in the US, for home there are cheaper options with the same processor.
The ASUS PL63 Windows miniPC integrates the processor manufactured in 10 nm, the Intel Core i5-1135G7, a Quad Core with eight threads with a maximum speed that reaches up to 4.2 GHz. As a GPU we find an Intel Iris Xe G7 with 80 EU, with a total consumption of 12 W TPD. To cool the unit, we have an active fan. With this processor, we won’t have any problems running any design app and performing quite heavy tasks.
As for the RAM memory section, we have two SODIMM DDR4 2400Mhz slots where we can install up to 32 GB of RAM, while for storage it includes a connector for an M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage unit with support for up to 4 TB.
Connectivity and other specifications
For wireless connectivity we have an internal M.2 card that includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0 while on the back of its case we find two connectors for external Wi-Fi antennas to reinforce its range. The rest of the connectors included are a 3.5 mm audio jack, six USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two of them USB Type-C, a Gigabyte network port and HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs to connect a pair of monitors at the same time.
The operating system is Windows 10 Pro and a 90W external power adapter is included.
