The new ASUS ROG Xbox Ally handheld PCs, consoles with a rather peculiar design and a customized Xbox-style launcher, are now on sale.
This new consoles with Windows 11 draws attention for its grip system, we have two integrated grips fixed form that allows us long gaming sessions. Something that also affects the overall dimensions of the device, as we see it is quite long compared to a normal Ally. Another distinctive point is the inclusion of a custom Xbox launcher, inside we find both Gamepass services and all other game stores, such as Steam, GoG, Epic Store or Ubisoft.
We have two different configurations, the simpler ROG Xbox Ally does not offer a slightly better performance than the current Steam Deck, the ROG Xbox Ally X version is much more powerful.

The new ASUS ROG Xbox Ally includes in its single version the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor with four cores and eight threads, as a graphics solution we have a Radeon RDNA 2 GPU with 8 CU. We have 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5X 6400 MHz integrated on the board, for storage we have a 512 GB NVMe PCIe 2280 SSD PCIe 2280 that we can expand. It integrates a 60 Wh battery.
On the other hand, the most powerful ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X offers us the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme APU with eight cores and sixteen threads, integrates an efficient Radeon RDNA 3.5 GPU with 16 CU much more interesting for demanding games. We have 24 GB of RAM LPDDR5X 8000 MHz integrated on the board, for storage we have a 1 TB NVMe PCIe 2280 SSD. We have an 80 Wh battery.
Other notable features
The display is a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, 500 nits power and a 120 Hz refresh rate with FreeSync support. The display also includes Gorilla Glass Victus protection for added peace of mind against shocks.
In the wireless connectivity section we have WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. The connectors include a 3.5 mm audio jack, microSDXC reader and two USB-C connectors, one of which is USB-C 4 in the X version. The dimensions are 291 x 122 x 51 mm and the weight is 670 / 710 g respectively.
