AWOW Gen12 a cheap mini PC with Intel N100 and DDR5 RAM

Today we have on Amazon the AWOW Gen12 mini PC, a small computer based on an Intel N100 with interesting specifications and price.

Highlights in this computer are its 16 GB of RAM DDR5 at 4800 Mhz, which give us a very plus speed for the system even in multitasking. This small low power PC is powered by the Intel N100 quad-core processor with a TDP of 6W TPD, manufactured in 10 nm and with a modest Intel HD Graphics GPU.

An economical mini PC with low-power chip, which has enough power to use it for office tasks, browsing, streaming, multimedia playback up to 4K, emulators and simple games at most.

In the new AWOW Gen12 we find the Intel N100 processor manufactured in 10 nm with four cores and four execution threads that reach up to 3.4 GHz. For graphics, we have an integrated Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 24EU supporting VP9 and h.265 video codecs up to 4K@60fps. This processor and GPU is not designed for powerful 3D games, but it does allow us to use the device for other daily multimedia or office tasks smoothly.

In the RAM memory section we have 16 GB LPDDR5 at 4800 MHz that are soldered on board, and it seems that they can not be expanded. For storage, we have capacity for a 512 GB M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD, expandable up to 2 TB, and we have space for another internal 2.5-inch SATA 3 unit.

Other notable features

For wireless connectivity includes an M.2 module with dual-band Wi-Fi aC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. In the connector area we have a micro SD card reader on one side, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.2, 3.5 mm audio jack, 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports and HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort video outputs that allow video playback up to 4K@60fps resolution without problems.

The operating system of the AWOW Gen12 is Windows 11 Pro, the power supply is external and a VESA bracket is included to install it behind any monitor or TV.
