Ayaneo has already unveiled its highly anticipated Konkr Pocket Advance, a horizontal handheld console that pays direct homage to the iconic design of Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance.
Part of the company’s REMAKE line, this console recreates the curved lines and form factor of the original 2001 model, but with a modern finish and some aesthetic tweaks. Initially unveiled in an eye-catching orange color variant with white buttons, we’re sure to see it in other colors as well.
The Konkr Pocket Advance retains the 3:2 screen aspect ratio but now features a four-button ABXY layout instead of the original two buttons, a redesigned D-pad, and two built-in stereo speakers on either side of the bottom of the case. It retains the angled Start and Select buttons and moves the power LED to the top of the screen. The SoC and final hardware specifications are currently unknown.
On the bottom edge, between the speakers, we find a USB-C charging port, the iconic analog volume wheel, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack—all retained in the exact same locations as on the Nintendo model. On the top bezel of the chassis, there are two large triggers next to the power button, while the status LED is now located at the top of the panel.
Price and Availability of the Konkr Pocket Advance
